Eli Lebowicz started performing standup comedy while attending Yeshiva University. There, he won the school’s annual standup comedy contest in 2009, and was the Co-Creator and Head Writer for The Quipster, Yeshiva University’s first satire publication.
Since then, Eli has been performing at Jewish events all over the world, such as Pesach programs, shul dinners, sheva brachot, fundraisers, and other places Jews eat. Aside for performing, Eli has built quite the following on social media with his daily posts of jokes on Facebook and Twitter.
In Pesach of 2019, Eli had a sold-out tour of 4 shows across Israel. Starting in March 2020, he performed virtually for audiences in the US, Canada, Israel, and South Africa, doing more than 85 virtual shows in a year. While Zoom performances often can be less than ideal quality, Eli has perfected the technique to deliver a great virtual show.
Some may find Eli’s material a bit too Jewish, but with a name like “Eli Lebowicz,” he wasn’t really trying to hide that anyway.
