When you experience the loss of a loved one, you can trust us to guide you through the arrangements necessary to create a meaningful ceremony that celebrates the unique life being honored.
Our staff is committed to providing your family with the highest quality care and service in your time of need, and we take pride in our responsibility to lighten your burden as you take the first steps toward healing.
Hillside Memorial Park and Mortuary welcomes visitors. The park’s landscaped gardens and quiet courtyards offer visitors a chance to remember and honor a loved one, meditate or pay their respects to someone who has passed away.
The park is closed for visitation every Saturday in observance of Shabbat as well as the Jewish holidays of Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur, Sukkot, Shemini Atzeret, and the first and seventh days of Passover. Should you have any questions, Hillside staff members will be glad to assist you.
Hillside Memorial Park features a full-service mortuary, offering a wide variety of services to help families create a unique funeral or memorial service for your loved one.
Our caring, expert staff will help guide and support you as you make decisions for a final arrangement. We have extensive experience in providing ritual observances such as taharah (ritual washing) and sh’mera (guarding the deceased), as well as coordinating with rabbis, newspaper notices, cemeteries and florists. We can also assist you in selecting from a wide assortment of caskets and urns.
According to Jewish tradition, permanent memorial markers can be placed any time during the first year of mourning. Granite memorials are used in many of our ground burial sections. Production and setting of a granite memorial requires 8 weeks from the time the order is placed. Bronze memorials are used on all mausoleum, garden mausoleum and some ground burial sections. This is a 16-week timeline from the date of order. Traditionally, once the marker is set, an unveiling takes place. Support for an unveiling, such as chairs and the unveiling curtain, are included as part of your arrangement.
We also offer a service called “Hillside Legacies Tributes.” This service allows you to create an unforgettable short film about yourself or a loved one. This tribute can be used during memorial services and then enjoyed for years by family and friends, becoming as meaningful as a precious heirloom. Please speak with a Family Advisor about this or any other service.
Decisions at this time are very emotional and require much thought. That is why we promise never to pressure you during the process. Whatever your preferences, we are here to create a customized, highly personal memorial. Click here to contact a Family Advisor about making your arrangements.
