The Israel Hour hit the airwaves of Rutgers University’s WRSU Radio way back in 1976, as part of the station’s Sunday lineup of ethnic programming. Since then, a large roster of hosts have kept the show running strong and sounding great. But in 1994, Rutgers students Mairov Dubrovsky and Josh Shron wandered into the studio – and Josh has never looked back.
Nearly 25 years later, Josh Shron is one of the leading promoters of Israeli music worldwide, introducing thousands of passionate fans to the joys and complexities of Israeli music. Josh has taken the show from its humble roots serving the Central New Jersey community to a global audience passionate about Israel and its culture.
From our live broadcast now heard worldwide, to on-demand podcasts…from a robust social media presence offering the latest in Israeli music news and information, to speaking engagements in Jewish communities worldwide, Israel Hour Radio is spreading a love of Israeli music to brand new audiences each and every day.
