Natasha B, a mother of two boys, her youngest is on the autism spectrum influencing her to form a Non-Profit Organization Autism Moms Know Safety.
She has appeared in numerous parenting blogs such as, “Mobile Mommies” and “Paradigm Behavior” and she also has had multiple safety articles featured in “Autism Parenting Magazine”.
She has recently launched an Autism Safety Campaign whereby she sends free safety toolkits worldwide to provide caregivers practical resources to educate and raise awareness while also providing solutions and essential tools that can help prevent wandering and elopement or assist others if a dependent goes missing to help get them back home safely.
Natasha’s work at General Motors was recognized from the disability community with awards delivered by Michigan Association of Rehabilitation Organizations in June of 2017 with an Apex Champion Employer Award and Private Sector Employer of the Year from the CAREERS & the disABLED magazine in April of 2018.
Natasha is the author of the Tommy’s Lessons Children’s book series. Books in the series include “My Tomato, Guacamole and Onion Sandwich”, “My Magic Pet Fish” and “My Super Cool Ant Farm” as well as Autism Children’s Awareness book “The Waiting Song” recently published by Future Horizons in November of 2017. She is looking for literary agents and representation of future of books.
The AMKS Safety Kit is a free-of-charge toolkit given to autism families to help spark the safety conversations in their home. It’s a means to educate, raise awareness and share simple tools for Autism safety that can help prevent wandering and/or assist others if your child is missing to help get them home safely.
