Slightly further than 15km from Reggio Calabria, surrounded by greenery on the Calabrian side of the Strait of Messina, Altafiumara Resort&Spa raises on a cliff overlooking the clear waters of the Costa Viola, where the sky and the sea acquire violet reflections at the sunset and the dark silhouettes of the Aeolian Islands and Etna volcano stand out at the horizon.
Calabria offers a perfect mix of the experiences to be lived: ancient culture, unexplored nature, different sports to practice all the year.
ROOMS
The resort is composed by tree section: Isole, Castle and Sporting
The Isole/Islands are set in a romantic garden, looking at the Strait of Messina and Aeolian Islands or at the water-lily pond shaded by tall palm trees, the Islands have 45 elegant rooms in fresh and Mediterranean style. Each has a patio surrounded by flowerbeds of Mediterranean essences, furnished with a coffee table and comfortable chaises. The rooms of this typology are all at ground floor with an independent entrance.
The Castle is an ancient Bourbon fortress of the XVIII century, carefully renewed in order to safeguard its original role of outpost, that during times has welcomed famous people and hosted its Guests Chiefs of State. The Castle has 37 rooms of different typologies divided on two levels, all furnished with precious fabrics and equipped with all the comforts.
The Sporting has 36 Suites and 10 Basic Rooms divided on two floors: the wide and comfortable rooms, characterized by refined and elegant details, offer the garden or sea view.
Among these, the Presidential Suite “Fata Morgana” offers a wide range of exclusive services in order to make your stay unforgettable, planned to the last detail.

RESTAURANT
Our restaurant is known for its most authentic Glatt Kosher Italian cuisine. To satisfy all our guests, popular Ashkenazic and Sephardic dishes will be served as well.
A wide selection of unique dishes, consistently quality food, and finest Italian cuisine tastefully prepared by our chef, have boruch Hashem given us the reputation as amongst the best in the catering world.
Lunch and dinner are always served at the table by professional waiters.
In addition to the already included wines, a wide range of premium Israeli and Italian wines are available on our wine list.
During the afternoon and late evening, the bar will be open with hot and cold beverages, appetizers, and snacks for children.
