Mr. David M. Cohen, P.A. was admitted to the bar of Florida in 1993. He has been an active member of the Friends of 440 Scholarship Fund, a charitable organization whose purpose is to make the dream of a college education become a reality for eligible students who are dependent and descendants of a parent who has been injured or killed in the course and scope of their employment and who receive benefits under the Florida Workers Compensation Law.
Mr. Cohen graduated from the University of Maryland at College Park in 1990 and he is also a graduate of Nova Southeastern University School of Law in 1993. He interned at a very prestigious workers’ compensation law firm, learning many of the inside secrets of claims handling by insurance companies. However, rather than continuing to defend such claims, he decided to use his experience and knowledge to the advantage of the injured parties. As a result, Mr. Cohen has represented only the injured parties against insurance companies since 1993. He has been practicing law since 1993 before opening his own law firm in 2001. He has extensive knowledge and experience with jury trials and administrative hearings before judges of compensation claims. Mr. Cohen’s law practice encompasses the entire state of Florida.
David M. Cohen concentrates his practice in representing individuals who have been denied overtime wages, Social Security, disability, and the injured and disabled as a result of personal injury and workers’ compensation cases.
Mr. Cohen brings a special brand of compassion, integrity and tenacity to each and every client he represents. He understands that financial hardship and compensation abuses levied upon working Floridians are every bit as injurious as the physical damages suffered at work and other accidents.
