Since I first started babysitting at the young age of 13, I learned that the essential trust of caring for a family’s child is one of the most valuable commodities that you can offer. My first experience started with a family right on my street, with two children, one who was battling a diagnosis of juvenile diabetes. I dedicated myself to caring for these children as if they were my family, including training to give diabetes shots and take blood sugar readings. I watched these children go through elementary school to high school, and am still close with them today while they are in college.
Throughout the 11 years of providing them nurture, care, and trust, I did the same for many more families throughout Middlesex and Monmouth Counties. Every child in every family, I treated with love, respect, and provided them with another adult to trust and look up to. After observing the difference I’ve made in many families and the value of my care, I extended my service offerings and began to tutor in 2007. Throughout the past, I have had the opportunity to tutor children in all core school subjects, specializing in Mathematics. After becoming a certified teacher in PreK through 8th grade in 2014, I observed a need for students of all ages to gain confidence in test taking, so I started test prep services including PSAT, SAT, ACT, PARCC, and Praxis.
It is my dream come true to have created Team ELM Childcare and Tutoring, LLC in order to train others with the same passions in life as myself. Working with each family grows our Team ELM family into a community of people who we truly love and care about.
